jess 0 196-4 PRESlDENT'S MESSAGE I am deeply honored to be the first president of a senior class to graduate from Framingham South High School. Due to the rapid growth of the town of Fram- ingham there are two new schools. This separation promises to produce a friendly scholastic and athletic rivalry which could well surpass the Natick-Framingham one. The years l96O-T96-4 have left us with numerous memories which will be with us all our lives. We won't forget the amazing variety of school sessions which marked our four years here. In a sense our class proved that learning is possible under all kinds of conditions. The lessons we learned in the classroom, in extracur- ricular organizations, and in athletics will serve us well in our future. Perhaps the event we will most often connect with our senior year, however, was the tragic assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Fram- ingham South High School reflected the feelings of a grief- stricken world. For weeks life was almost at a stand- still as the world paid tribute to a great human being. The underclassmen of Framingham South High School have a great deal of responsibility to live up to. It is your job to set a precedent for oncoming classes. Re- member that all classes look up to the Senior Class, and the example you set reflects on their behavior in future years. Future seniors should begin early to plan their careers. Work closely with the guidance counselors in mapping your entrance to college, the business world, or the service. In closing l would like to thank my fellow students, our teachers, and Mr. Martin for the pleasant memories and fine education we have received at Framingham South High School. Most of all we are deeply indebted to our class advisor, Mrs. McDuffie, without whose help our successful senior year would not have been possible. 27 ,4 ' 'L - 4 ' r f A . .
