.,,,,.,,9,g-1108911 lg A P -4 5 P. Ag , w. 15181 go fge PRINCI PAl.'S MESSAGE The Class of 1964 has the distinction of being the first to graduate from Framingham South High School, a very old school with a most distinguished record, formerly known as Framingham High School. This class is also the first to experience normal single-session op- erations after three years of various forms of double sessions. lt is also the first class to lose a large per- centage of its members at the end of the junior year by their transfer to a new and second public high school in this community, the Framingham North High School. Despite the many difficulties and problems experi- enced by the Class of 1964, it has attained high schol- astic standards, established good athletic records and participated successfully in extracurricular activities. We are confident that many more firsts will be attained by the members of the Class of i964 during their life- times. On your graduation day your parents must be proud of the many fine and desirable changes that have taken place in your personality, knowledge, and thinking since entering this school in l96O. lt is our hope that we have made some small con- tribution toward your future success, well-being, and happiness. ln the years to come we expect our pleasure will increase as we learn of your worthy accomplish- ments. You are about to enter a new phase of your life. Whether you enter the world of work immediately or attend an institution of higher learning in preparation for your work, you are about to encounter a need for further changes. More work will be expected of you with less time available for recreational activities. Many will encounter the new experience of being entirely away from home. You must select new, wholesome, and worthwhile friends in a new environment. lt will be necessary to develop self-discipline and self-reliance to a degree never before anticipated. We, your teachers, are confident that you will meet these challenges with determination and success. Live to be a credit to your parents, your school, and your community, and you will be a credit to yourself. Mya 9.
