It is here that we have been taught to assume a respectable place in society. Framingham High School has a fine faculty'and all the facilities necessary for the attainment of this goal. However. its ach' h ' ievement as been left to us. for we cannot expect others to assume our responsibilities. Let us remember that a hiffh school di loma d s I g p oecn t prove that we are educated. It merelv proves that we have stayed in school long enough to graduate. Soon the world will judge us by what we know, by how we think, and by what we cl - ' ' paper. During our years in this school. our class has ac- complished much both scholastically and athletically. Our achievements have been remarked by both lVIr. Magoon and lVIr. Martin. If our triumphs in high school are an indication as to what we will accomplish in later life, I am sure that each member of this class will be a success. Certainly we are most grateful to those who have helped us during our high school days. Though we may have seemed indifferent, we did appreciate your efforts. every one. To you, Miss Lewis, we say. The re- sults of the Drive were certainly a true measure of teen-age generosity. Spring brought with it a very en- joyable Council Dance, which was a fore-runner of the other activities of the late school year. The team started off the season by walloping Wfelleslev. One highlight was a victorv over Nlarlboro which hroke its twentv-five game winning streak. As the season progressed. the Flyer of- fensive opened up while the defense stiffened to shut out three teams. The Flveifs defensive had the least points scored against it in the Bay State Conference. Summers. whose knowledge of the game and ability to get the most from the players themselves left little to be desired. The quintet consisted of players as different as their names. Dave Cowern played an unidentifiahle role in setting: up most of the plays and many of the scores at the expense of personal gains for himself.
