ORGANIZERS OF SAFETY PATROL The parents of Frackville's school children owe a vote of thanks to Mr. Roy W'ertz, State Patrolman McGrew. and Mr. jack james Lpictured abovej who are responsible for the organization of the Frackville Safety Patrol which was formed in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Highway Department. lHllllHE ElHl2l The oldest, all girl organization. the Leaders Club. was formed in October of 1933 and has been extremely active ever since. Mrs. Harvey Wolfgang is the competent faculty adviser. Students from the Sophomore, Junior and Senior classes, who have met the standards of the club. are voted upon. The standards of this organization are high moral, mental and physical ideals. Club oiiicers for the year '49-'50 school term are as follows: President, joan Rubright: Vice-President, Jean Livingston: Secretary. Mary Alice Morgan: Treasurer, Helen Semanchik. The most outstanding of the many Leaders Club activities throughout the school year are the Hal- lowe'en Dance and the annual May Dance. It is the custom to pick a May Queen and her court for this gala event. The final club activity is a farewell party for Senior members which is usually held at Lakewood Park.
