CLASS HISTCRY September '59 the Class of 1963 entered the halls of F. A. and bravely faced the Sophomores at Freshman Reception. We chose for our class leaders: President, jeff Taylor, Vice-President, Sally Macom- ber, Secretary, Linda Barker, and Treasurer, Iulie Warren. Priscilla Bradbury, Sally Macornber, and Rachel Strout represented us in Stu- dent Council. Mr. Croves and Mrs. White were our advisors. We became very active in most sports, various musical organiza- tions, F.F.A. and F.H.A. Sophomore year we again elected jeff Taylor and Julie Warren as our President and Treasurer, while Iohn R.obinson was elected Vice- President, and Elizabeth Parker was elected Secretary. Bonnie Gerry, Mary Libby, and Sharon Zwicker represented us in Student Council. Again our class was well represented in all sports, musical organiza- tions, and other clubs. We had approximately twenty students on the Honor Roll each semester. We also did very well in the Magazine Campaign. Under the leadership of Iohn Robinson, President, Bruce Grant, Vice-President, julie Warren, Secretary, and Cail Clark, Treasurer, we began our junior year at F. A. Jeff Taylor was elected President of the Student Council this year. Ethelyn DeLue, Mary Libby, and Sharon Zwicker were representatives.. The National Honor Society recognized three of our classmates as members this year - julie NVarren, Sally Macomber, and Anna Cod- reau. With the junior Plays, junior Speaking, Band, Majorettes, Cheer- leading, the choruses, F .F.A., F .H.A., basketball, football, other sports and clubs, our class was kept quite busy. ln the Penquis Prize Speaking contest, Nancy Carter took first place. Senior year at Foxcroft Academy was busy and exciting in many respects. rchallengev was the byword in academic advancement, career choice, and extra-curricular activities. NVe chose Skip Salley as our class President. The other class officers were Linda Clark, Vice-President, Marilee Preble, Secretary, Roxanne Giordano, Treasurer. Cail Clark and Ronald Ruksznis served as class representatives to the Student Council. Sheila Boone was elected by the entire student body to the office of Student Council Vice-President. Linda Clark was elected National President of the F.H.A., bringing great honor to our class and school. john Robinson was a semi-finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Keeping an eye on June 12, 1963, we continued all our efforts in our studies and extra activities until the end. Now we are looking for- ward to a bright future with much confidence and just a little uneasi- ness. In our hearts Foxcroft Academy and all its memories will never be forgotten as we ascend to life's road.
