DEBATE TEAM The debate team is an organization consisting of students interested in study- ing and discussing world and national problems. Com- petition is held on local, regional, and state levels. Debaters study the ques' tion, become well enough informed about it that they can efficiently debate either on the affirmative or nega- tive sides, and then prepare to meet and defeat opposing teams. ROW 2: Jean Clausen, Mary Balmer, Karen Simcox, Dolores Boyce, Joan Reinhold, Carolyn Smith, Richard Eichenberger, Mr. Allen. ROW 3: Tom Newman, Steve Rose, Will Lineberry, Jo Ann Lesch, Larry Santorski, Judi Jackson, Ken Mc- Arthy, Curt Seward, Judy Gruenewald. The Drama Club at the present time is not organized. This group in- cludes all of the students who have par- ticipated in the school plays and skits. Plckadilly was the first produc- tion by the Drama Club in 1959. Last year's play was The Magic Touch. This year' s speech class put on a one- act skit entitled Who Dunnit? for the student body. The students taking part in these activities are gaining invaluable exper- ience in acting and working with people 83
