Freshmen through seniors consult Mr. Boyle, Miss Hall, Mr. Hess, and Mrs. Starz for valuable help concerning college boards, class scheduling and future plans. The guidance officers complete extensive transcripts on students, keep records and administer tests. Next door in the health office, Mrs. Van Pelt is always ready to prepare a cup of tea or a soothing word for ailing students and faculty members. Occasionally, the relaxing treatment is given to a good faker trying to avoid a test, but usually Mrs. Van Pelt's trusty thermometer and her knowledge of student tricks send pretenders back to class.

University of Pittsburgh High School Principal It's a common thing to see girls wearing pants, boys with beards and bells and blue jeans every- where you turn. The change in the dress code and student appearance is the result of hard work by Dr. Tranquill and long efforts of the Student Council. Attendance and buses, the responsibility of Mr. Scholtz, along with Mr. Bolt's work coordinating activities and is- suing honor roll cards show the varied importance of the office in school life. The office, as the center of school activities, is responsible for regulating events and maintain- ing the bustling rhythm of the school. 9!..N,,..r MR. ENGENE A. BOLT MR. KENNETH SCHOLTZ B.S.
