For The Students, Bg The Student The leaders of the 1969-1970 Student Council were Dave McKamish fPres.j, Mark Knobil CV. Pres.j, Vicki Montville fSec.j, Marleen Kay fTreas.j, and Patty Logan fBusiness Sec.j. Some of this year's activities included the Film Festival, the Foster Child Campaign, and the Christ- mas Hall Contest between classes. The council also spon- sored the Harold Betters Concert, and the Pop Festival and was further responsible for the juke box and optional assemblies made available to the student body. The most engrossing topic of the school year was the new dress code. After heated debates and discussions, an optional plan f with the parents permission! j was evolved. Officially the Student Council is made up of elected representatives from each homeroom and a Standing Com- mittee consisting of eight members chosen by the officers. At the closing of the year elections are held to determine the sucessive leaders for the following year. fRemember those frenzied speeches?j As the working unit of Fox Chapel High, the Student Council attains many goals and aims of the student body. I78 This is Pres. McKamish, get me Washington!
