The varsity Wrestling Team, coached by Mr. Gregg Caldwell, had a complete rever- sal from their former seasons in posting a 9-4 dual match record. Highlights of the wrestling year were placing first at the Shadyside Christmas Tournament and the honor of ranking third in Section 8 of the VUPIAL. There were many outstanding var- sity wrestlers this year. Junior Craig Lessman Q165j and Sophomore Rich Kristin Qunlj won individual Section Chmnpionships at Shaler H. S. Second place Section Honors were won hy Junior Bruce Kirin C1805 and Jim Biery Q103j. Sophomore Bob Talley C154j had an exceptional season, posting a record of 11-3. Co-captain Tom Cramer wrestled in two weight classes, 120 and 127, and recorded a team high of eight pins. Co- captain Dave McKamish registered an 8-7 season in the 138 class.
