Elected representatives and alternates trom each homeroom provided the working torce behind the Council. ln addition, any interested student could receive permission to attend a Student Council meeting or to serve on a committee. lt was truly a government tor the stu- dents. Fund-raising activities lilce the United Fund Drive, the Farmington Mine Disaster Collection, and the Foster Child Collections were all success- tul. But the maior accomplishments included the Student Em- ployment Service, the l-lonor Roll privileges, the Student Board a spring recess, and permission to change classes outside.
