The season began with a disappointing loss to Burrell. Then the Foxes reeled off five straight victories and things looked much brighter. Throughout the rest of the year the team managed to have a record of four wins and four losses. The losses were to Gateway, the winner of the section, and Norwin, the second place finisher. This year's captains were Bill Schaeffer and Marty Powell. New school records were set in the 200 yard Individual Showing In State Finals J.V. SWIMMING TEAM-Bottom Row: T. Reed, T. McKenna, M. Mc- Corkle, R. Quay, J. Burdakiu. Second Row: C. Waligura, G. Brown, J. Boyd, B. Quick, P. LeDonne, D. May, J. Sable, D. Crandon, C. Schriver, J. A good start is the first step to victory. Medley and l00 yard Backstroke by Bill Schaeffer, in the 100 yard Butterfly by Bill Blank, and in the 200 yard Medley relay by the team of Bill Schaeffer, Tom Scully, Bill Blank, and Rich Longabaugh. This relay team placed fourth in the W.P.l.A.L., fifth in the Western Regionals, and eighth in the State Champion- ships.
