The National Honor Society is an organiza- tion whose members are chosen on the basis of scholarship, leadership, character, and serv- ice. The officers for the 1967-68 school year were Jeff DeVore, President, Russell Ayres, Vice President, Lynn Eninger, Secretary, and Paul Weeks, Treasurer. The co-sponsors were Mr. White and Miss Stearns. Early in the year members participated in several projects, a book collection for service- men, the sale of personalized stationery, and a bake sale. The culmination of the year was the induction ceremony on May 6. Dr. Dwight Hanna, the guest speaker, discussed the ways in which developments in modern medicine will challenge tomorrowas leaders. Dr. Roush and the Society's officers then formally wel- comed the new members. This year's graduating National Honor S0- ciety members bought a laminated plaque that will be displayed in the school with all past and future members, names on it. They also initiated a drive in which fifty dollars will be given annually until the purchase of special hoods is possible. These hoods will have the National Honor Society emblem on them and will be worn by the members during gradua- tion.
