Russian and German stu- dents also attended on their respective language days. There was also a particular emphasis on holidays this year. A bulletin board by Mr. Makowski featured HA Russian Easterf, In- cluded in the display were authentic, imported Easter eggs from Poland, identical to Russian eggs. French III and IV students learned many new carols which they eventually sang at the Harmarville Rehabilitation Center. Other in-class activities included some cul- inary delights, such as crepe-suzettes and cold vichysoisse, cooked up by the French IV classes. The Spanish teaching staff was supplemented by two student- teachers from Indiana University. They were Mr. Bruce Smith and Miss Teresa Lancas, who had studied a year in Spain. It is inter- esting to note that a great majority of our language teachers have studied and traveled in the lands whose language they teach. Thus their teaching becomes more meaningful with actual experiences gained from their travels. MR. WALTER KRUCZEK MR. ROBERT MONK A.B., M.I... University of Pittsburgh. B.S. Kutztown State College.
