The workmenls strike last summer put an end to all hope of completing the new wing for the incoming freshman class. The Administration would like to thank the students and faculty for their co-operation during this trying period. Once opened for classes, the school faced numerous additional handicaps. For the first few weeks after the opening of the top floor, teachers had to get along without any blackhoards, heaters, lights, doors, blinds, or inside windows. Furthermore, they still had to put up with construction noises all around them. When the workmen were finally gone, the new wing housed twenty new classrooms, two activity rooms, three teachers' planning rooms and a new power mechanics' room. In addition, the cafeteria and kitchens were enlarged, and a new all- purpose gym and boys, locker room were built. It was all worth waiting for and many visiting groups have commented on how lucky we are to have such a beautiful school. House The Backbone Of The Entire District AREA SCHOOL BOARD-Bottom.
