OPERATIONS OPERATIONS OFFICER LCDR TIMOTHY RUSSO BARON UNITED STATES NAVY BIOGRAPHY TIMOTHY ROSSO BARON LIEUTENANT COMMANDER, UNITED STATES NAVY Lieutenant Commander Timothy R. Baron was born in Tallahassee. Florida on 12 June 1958. He graduated from the University of Central Florida in Orlando in June 1980, earning a bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. He received his commission in November 1981 through the Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. Prior to reporting to USS FOX (CG-33) as Operations Officer in September 1991, he served in USS LYNDE MCCORMICK (DDG-8) as Operations Officer, USS FARR. ' VGUT (DDG-37) as CiC Officer and Navigation Officer, and USS SHREVEPORT (LPD-12) as Damage Control Assistant, Machinery Officer, and Personnel Officer. He also served as Schedules and Operations Office r at the Fleet Training Group in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He has been awarded four Navy Commendation Medals and the Navy Achievement Medal for superior performance while serving in FAR- RAGUT. LYNDE MCCORMICK. FOX. and at Fleet Training Group. He is married to the former Ann Barnes of Orlando. Florida. They re- side in San Diego California with their daughters Krislina. Rebecca, and Amanda.
