R Dlvlslon Repair Division onboard USS FOX is made up ot three different ratings. There are nine damage controlman, five hull technicians, and one machinery repairman. The divi- sion is run by the Damage Control Assistant, Lt l-lickey. The machinery repairman is the man that manufactures the machinery parts for the pumps, and gears, to name a few. The Damage Controlman ensure the fire fighting and emergency equipment is in top shape and ready for any emergency. They are responsible for the miles and miles of electrical wiring aboard FOX and the electrical equipment it serves. The general an- nouncing system which carries the gentle, melodious strains of the Boatsvvain's lvlate's voice to every com- partment ofthe ship with such welcome words as Rev- eille , is also maintained by E Division. And, of course, we would have a hard time finding our way from place to place without the gyro compass, a piece of gear the IC Gang maintains. But perhaps the most important function of E Division more specifically the IC-Men, is maintaining and showing the ships video movie library.
