A Division A-gang is a small team of men whose primary job consists of maintaining and operating the ships air conditioning plant's ships service refrigeration plants, steering gear, anchor windlass, deck machin- ery, gallery equipment, laundry equipment, emergen- cy diesel and gas turbine generator sets along with the ships small boats and dozen's of other pieces of equipment. R Dlvlslon Repair Division onboard USS FOX is made up ot three different ratings. There are nine damage controlman, five hull technicians, and one machinery repairman. The divi- sion is run by the Damage Control Assistant, Lt l-lickey. The machinery repairman is the man that manufactures the machinery parts for the pumps, and gears, to name a few. The Damage Controlman ensure the fire fighting and emergency equipment is in top shape and ready for any emergency.
