ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE LEFT T0 RIGHT: Terry Campbell, Lorain Antcliff, Bob Coon, Jack Kent, Mr. Wellington Hendren Lucas. The Assembly Committee, composed of a member from each class, represented the student body to select assemblys throughout the school year. They secured five professional assemblies which were put on before the students during the year. The Pied Piper Puppets, which was an annual favorite, presented a show which was based on Columbus's voyage to the new world. ,A Russian refugee, John Shiraef told the students about the conditions and customs of Russia. Perhaps the most entertaining and educational assembly of the year was given by Ken Smith, master in the field of art- istry. His drawings in different styles pleased everyone. Besides the professional assemblies the students put on a number of programs that exhibited the local talent. The Y- Teens had a program which poked a little fun at television. The student body presented a Christmas assembly which proved to be quite clever and original. -61-
