Dismissalwand then a rush for books. 6-The Freshies are a good example of the skillful work of unskilled labor- ers. Beware of green paint. 7P.fXll day session at school-it is just one conflict after another. 8-livery one is exercising their arm by fanning themselves! 9-'The cnd of a perfect week-like all first weeks of school. lZ-fliack againsone class? Didn't think they could be so dense until they started to work on density, l3-Another person added to our enrollment. XYe have -lack Ciilbert's giggle again. Class meeting. l-l-liveryone is getting excited about the big event at Oxford. Mr. lidwards has something up his sleeve. l5-Everything is in a flurry. Dismissal for the rest of the week. lo-Betty we are here! A day of all days. Remember the trolley and Hiram and Lucy. Also the tennis matches at Qxford. Hurrah! for our side. I9-jack Comley is limping. Aren't you glad that you are not so awkward? 20-Had the first fire drill today. Swanee does not like eraser. Zl-Nothing doing--just one bawling out after another. Z2-Shonky is very worried, he can't find high C on the typewriter. Z3-School dismissed early today for ball game and tennis--again we carry off the honors. Z4-Mr. Smith was very lonely. XYonder if we are going to have an .Xu- nual? Z7-Beware! Remember there is one gram to a C. C. of water, or some- body is going to get hurt. 28-Mr. Smith talked to us this morning. Election of Amiual Staff. Sadie's hair is out of curlg sure sign of rainy weather. Z9-Halcie cloesn't think that she would like snake fur. 30-Oh! girls: doesn't Pete look nice, but he and mud just can't agree. OCTOBER 3-Ah! the brilliancy!
