Nineteen hundred and sixty-eight has been a busy year for the administration of Fowler High School. Mr. John D. Hendrickson, Principal, has made many improvements which have bettered our school. He has removed the old lockers to relieve the crowded conditions in the halls. Also he has changed the of- fices around to make it more convenient and efficient for the students. Mr. Hendrickson hopes that these improvements will help the students realize that the administration is only here to help. Mr. Petersen came to Fowler High School twen- ty-five years ago. He first taught physical education and coached football, basketball and track. From physical education, he moved into the social studies program. ln l952 he accepted the position of assis- tant principalg however, he still taught part time. The duties and responsibilities of the assistant principalare varied and many. Among other assign- ments, there is pupil attendance, excessive tardiness referrals, student behavior problems both inside and outside the classroom. There is also the matter of teacher supervisory assignments and student eligibil- ity. Allin all the position of assistant principal has few idle or dull moments. DMINISTRATION
