The Fowler High School Band, an organization of forty members, under the direct1on of Earl Dungan, lS one of the most actlve organi 3tlOHS of the school The group worvs hard, and appears in many public functions, either in concert or on the march La t fall new uniforms were purchased for the band The flashy Hussar models were a great improvement over the old unlforms and many compliments were extended on both the ap pearance and performance of the Fowler band For the first out of town appearance last fall the band accompanied the football team to Bucklin A week later the group particlpated lh a band fest at Garden City along with sixteen other bands from the Southwest After the parade, all the bands attended the concert by the United States Navy Band ThlS program was a real thrill and in spiration to everyone who attended Other tries were made to Meade for the football game to Protection for the Iroquois League Instrumental Festival, and to Dodge City for the district contest At football or basket ball games, the band was always present, doing lts best to sup port the team. 15
