lil ' ' HI Y CABINET HI Y MEMBERS First Row Billy Harrold, Billy Middleswart, John Hlldebrand, Ralph Jaurez, Eugene Plymale, Ray Walker, Fred Eaton Second Row Arthur Hildyard, advisor, Raymond Jaurez, Bill Post, Elton Edwards, Harry Dowell, Richard Reese, Lawrence Overman, Donald Plymale, Calvin Jantz Earl Dungan, advisor Third Row Robert Earheart, Richard Anton, Paul Robinson,Kenneth Roberts, Jack Kissel, Ervin Hill,Robert Post, William Burch, Warren Rexroad, The Hi Y organizatlon means high youth It works together with the A watermelon feed was given at the beginning of the school year for all the boys who were interested in goinlng the club There were twenty two members 1n Hi Y this year The cablnet, which is composed of John Hildebrand, Ervin Hill, Ray Walker, Robert Post, Freddie Eaton Jack Kis el, Max Turner and Richard Anton, together wlth the sponsors, hr Hildyard and Mr Dungan, went to the d1StT1Ct Hi Y meeting at Dodge The play, 'Fa1th, Hope, and Flarity, was given by the Hi Y and G R The two Organlzatlons went CHTOl1Hg at Chrlstmas time, after whlch the P1 Y gave the G R a ch1l1 supper, Mr Hildyard was the chief cook The Hi Y and G R also had a heart pal party several intere ting meetlngs were held second semester and the club experienced a very successful year IHI Y GR PLAY cAsT 11 Y. M MBERS CABINET Jiltizi The Girl Reserve has approximately thirty members this year.The cabinet of ten girls Miss Nurse,the advisor,and Miss Carpenter, our pianist, direct the activities of the club. The actual work of the group is ac- complished through committees which meet once each month at the regular G.R.period. These com ittees are lead by the cabinet members and are sponsored by the Y.W,C.A, members. One evening in October, Lillian Wright, Fontella Hatfield,Alene Mahieu,Leola Marrs Marymaxine Cooper, Mrs. Lasater and Miss Nurse boarded a school bus and went to Plains where they attended the Mid-Winter Conference. Contact with Girl Reserves from other towns and with the leaders of the conference gave the girls new ideas which they eagerly presented to the club, The annual date party was held on December 5. The senior and junior Hboysu had dates with the sophomore and freshman girls.Dur- ing the preceding week the girls received many a letter from their dates. The party was in the form of a box supper. TheHBoys' bought them for fifteen cents. The Christ- mas party, to which Y.W.C.A. members were invited, was held at the high school. For the devotional service,the worship commit- tee presented a pantomime of the Christmas story from Luke. After the program, games were played and light refreshments were served Everyone brought a gift These gifts were sent to the Children's Home at Newton In February, a week was set aside for com munity week The purpose was to better acouaint the community with activities of the G R and Y W C A Names for heart pals were drawn and on Wednesday everyone en qoyed the valentine party Thursday even ing the girls entertained their fathers at a banquet The annual event for the mothers and daughters was in the form of a tea,the theme was carried out through the decor ations, refreshments, and the program At the HHalf and Half Party' everyone came dressed in peculiar combinations of cos tumes and even the refreshmentscarrled out the opposite motif The last meeting of the year was a farewell to the seniors and a welcome to the eighth graders G. R. V . - I HALF AND HALF PARTY 10 FATHER-DAUGHTER EANQUET
