STXTH FORM HISTORY X mia..-Taps.. Zi VERY BIG SKYSCRAPER must have a sound and solid foundation, and in the fall of the year l9-12 our foundation was laid. Yes, seven little bricks in the form of Bauman, Flsischmann, Thomas, Harding, Arneill. lVlcXVhin- ney, and Hart fell into place in the second form. This foundation was made solid by the constant pounding they got, not so much phy sical as men- tal. from the upper forrax. Vyfith the return of fiye of our originals and the addition of fiye new adyenturers our present form began to l'l1JlLl'lJll7C As the big fiye stood at the top of the stairs at the third form end eyeing ali the neweomers this is what they saw Floundering down the hall under the burden of a heavy suitcase came Cohig followed closely by Murphy and Brodhead Then it came yes up from the stairs came the most curious looking creature of all lt was John Alexander with a little green box in lats left hand and little or no hair on his head NVe later found out that the box contained precious stones and that his head was bald because of an explosion of some coal as in his face The big fue were so entice with John that they didnt see Speneer slink up the stairs last of all with guns in one hand and knives in the other lt wasnt long before we all got acqtainted and used to each other s peculiari ties but we did haye trouble in stomaching some of the stories Spencer told about his friends the Chicago gangsters Bull sessions brought us to gether a lot and befo e long we found that we w re a closely knit little bunch and that what happened to one of tls affected tls all When some one mentioned tne saered subject of life r lights naturally we all agreed Otr 1 e group grew to eleyen one day in the middle of the year when All n Hickerson yoined us with his little treasure chest which we soon found was full to the brim with candy The year passed quickly for us and was marked by a few little incidents like lrleisch getting caught by Mr Kitson just after haying been thrown in the sixth form showers Cohig jumping off Mr Ormes roof onto a Qpanish bayonet planted there for the purpose and Murphys footprtnts in the snow leading from Johnson s room in the fourth form end across the roof to the window in the third form XX e left at the end of that year with all kinds ol hopes for the next The fourth form year found tlae skyscraper really taking shape Seyeral strong additions at riyed As a m tter of faet a whole flood of new material poureel in as some of the third form members left lihe first of these characters was on lantern paw ed Roger I iteh from Cirosse I ointe s e ai an up to his room hit his room late lhys w as not lere yet linally la e ta t nigh Buc ariiye ta V ' i s I 5 - Yi 3 Yi J r l X 1 ' I l I 1' 1 1 Y' l ' I V' V Y ' D I l 1 1 B I 7' ' y , I 'J A i ' V ga' ' , U, ,'d 4 1 Y I ' 'lx N 'h ' I ' I 1 1 fl ' I 3 v 'I' x I ru i A ' 4 1 5 ' , . . .
