First row Left to nght C Ronca M Bjork K Mindler M J Miller A M Iasicllo M A Deegan Second row D Williams K Milltr A Fliszar H Murphy P Denms Mxsszng P P rrett CHEERLEADERS Last year in Fountain Hill somethlng new was added to the cheerleading squad a junior varsity trio This year 1 lot of new things were added 1 perm ment captain three substitutes new motions some new cheers and a new coach Pauline Perrett captained the varslty squad for the year The rest of the varsity comer Kitty Miller took turns in traveling to away games with the team three cheer le iders and one coach occupymg the two front seats of the bus Mary jane Miller captained the Jiy Vees Kitty Mindler and Anna Marie Iisiello Anna Marie is also 1 newcomer in a sense She has never been a cheerleader but she follows the examples of her sisters who led cheers in former years Marjorie Bjork Mary Anne Deegan md Concetta Ronca were the substitutes for the year New motions were worked out for several old cheers including the ever popular Alickx Lick and Boom Zigga Boom The girls breeze through their motions with a Look' No Bones' air A new cheer this seuson wls the Victory Cheer contributed by Gemma Prcucci of the girls basketball squad Other new cheers will be mtroduced during next year s bisketball season This year the girls were colched by Miss Eleanor McIntyre a new member of the faculty Y. , l I . , .
