Other new courses at Fouke are the fine arts course and the global studies course. The fine arts course, taught by Mrs. Gray, cov- ers such areas as dance, music, and theater. The global studies course, taught by Ms. Heyn, teaches students to take major global issues and re- late them to their community, state, and world. The course also teaches them to connect the inner de- pendence between all peoples of the world.

Here is something beyond the ordi- nary - a band at Fouke! This is the first year Fouke has had a band since 1948. This time we not only have a high school band we also have a fifth and sixth grade band too. Even though the bands have come a long way. (thanks to Mr. George Davis), they still have a long way to go. With a lot of hard work and dedication we should have a marching band by the 88-89 school year! We are very sure all the bands will make Fouke very proud of them. 10 Theme Academics
