Principals Bill Mears Mr. Bill Mears, at the age of 53, is the principal of Fouke High School. He has been principal here for 3 years. He graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 1953 with a B.S.E. Degree in History. He received a Master’s Degree at the University of Arkansas in 1954. Since Mr. Mears has been principal here, he has started the Enrichment Group and the National Honor Society. He was able to get Governor White to come for a special assembly Program and has been very helpful in obtaining scholarships for graduating seniors. 12 Frank McFerrin Mr. Frank McFerrin, at the age of 40, is the elementary principal at Fouke School. Mr. McFerrin has been principal here for 17 years. He graduated from Fouke School in 1961. He attended Texarkana College for two years and was selected Mr. History in 1963. He graduated from Ouchita Baptist University in 1965 with a B.A. Degree in History. In 1972 he took his teacher courses and got a Master’s Degree at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia. When Mr. McFerrin first started working in 1966 he was both principal and one of the 6th grade teachers.

Superintendent Ron Austin Mr. Ron Austin, at the age of 38, is our new superintendent. He graduated from Woodlawn High, in Risen, Arkansas, in 1962. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1966 with a B.S.E. He graduated in 1970, from East Texas State University in Commerce with a master’s degree in education. Mr. Austin, his wife Linda, and his children , Karen and Chip, attend Westlawn Baptist Church in Texarkana Texas. His goal in life as a person is to do the best he can wherever he is and in what job he finds himself. He would like to be helpful to others in the quest for the “good life.”
