The Ladies In Gold The cafeteria was remodeled this year with a new oven, steam and cook tables, fryer, mixer, and sink. This was the first time that it has been remodeled since its opening in 1951. The cafeteria is much like an old fashion country kitchen because our cooks are experts when it comes to good old homemade country cooking. Middle right: The lunch room workers are always on the go but here they find time to smile for the camera. Bottom left: Joann Nottingham adjusts Gloria Mayton’s new purple and gold apron and uniform. Bottom right: Hattie Jones is making their famous homemade rolls for the day's lunch.

Bus Drivers Lewis Watkins Kathy Rathburn Allen Jones Gail Watkins Fouke students really depend on the buses to transport them to and from school. And if it weren't for the bus drivers who drive the buses, there might be children who couldn’t make it to school. So many times we may have a tendency to take advantage of them. But they must sometimes carry up to one hundred students on a bus at a time. Right: Raymond Blackmon is a good mechanic to have around for keeping the buses in good working order. He too has been working for the school for 25 years. 14

Our Work Crew They play a major part in the functioning of our school. Without them our school would fail to operate properly. Upper right: Here, as usual, Paul Attaway is forever working to keep our school clean. Center right: These after-school-students work under the CETA program, which is sponsored by the Federal Government, and they also contribute to the welfare of our school. I eft to right: Alan Holder. Marty Potts. Bud Franks, Dewayne Mitchell, David Sams, Lynn Roberts. Not pictured: Scott Chapman, Retha Williams. Lower left: Mr. Kenneth Chappell, also under the CETA program, helps rearrange the storeroom for the cafeteria workers. Lower right: Ricky Allen pitches in to get the day’s work done. 16
