Calendar September 2 -School days again! School doors open at 8:35. 5-Annual preview sponsored by the Athletic Boosters. I2 Redmen battle Willard to O-O tie. Judy Niday is chosen Preview Queen. -Bellevue hosts Fostoria. Our team wins out-30-l 2! I5- Getting to Know You -The first triangle meetings of Y-Teens were held in the leaders' homes. I9-Fostoria goes down to defeat to Marion Harding- 24 25 26 48-12. - Bonne chance -The homerooms held their elections for officers. -Student Council met for the first time to discuss prob- lems for the coming year. -The first issue of the Journal came out with information for everyone. 26-Fremont, once again, defeats us as we play on their 29 field-16-7. -The speech class gives the opening assembly for the Magazine Campaign. 30-Business-lndustrial-Education Day for teachers. A free day for students. October. l-Drive-in conference for area teachers. This educational 3 conference was sponsored by Ohio Education Asso- ciation. -Redmen win first league game! Toledo Rogersrare the victims-12-7. 6- You'll Never Walk Alone , Recognition of new mem- bers in Y-Teens. 7-Senior class chose their class flower and motto. i0 -Mr. Sloan presents a liquid air assembly. lO-Whitmer hosts the Redmen, but hands us our third defeat. 13-Clay sculptor, Mr. Borgardis, presents an assembly. l3-Last day of magazine campaign! Junior high are top salesmen. l7-Fostoria trips Sylvania in a league contest-26-l9. 21-Juniors and seniors use brain-power for Senior Qualify- ing Test. 23-Redmen lose a tough one at Clay-20-0. 24-Students get a free day as teachers attend N.W.O.T.A. 28- Jungle Larry Tetzlaff invades FHS with snakes and iungle animals. 29-Fohirab pictures are snapped. 31-FHS hosts Bowling Green and wallops them-14-0. November 4-Karis Horner and Jacquie Marshall, both seniors, pre- 7 I0 13 21 26- 28 sent a delightful duo-piano program. -Redmen defeat arch-rival Findlay, 24-20, in last game for i0 seniors. Parents come back to school for Visitation Night. Student Council sponsors Bell Telephone film, Gateway to the Mind. Rebel Without a Cause is presented as the all-school play. 3l-Thanksgiving vacation. Redmen open basketball season by whipping Bucyrus.

December 2-Civil Defense meeting at Tiffin to discuss problems of the school building. 3--Suzanne Richardson and Sue Kovacs take the Daughters of the American Revolution test. 3-Representative came from Miami University to talk to the seniors. 4-National Honor Talent Assembly- Top Hat Club -- excellent lighting and stage setting. 4--The wrestling team suffered their first defeat from Sandusky. 5-Redmen win another one! 55-5l over Rogers on the home court. 9--Redmen beat Bellevue, 44-37, in the FHS gym. lO-The circulation staff give their assembly to promote the sales of the Fohirab. ll-Fremont Ross downs the wrestling team on our mats, 5-42. l3-Several Drivers' Training students travel to Bee Gee to take part in a Traffic Convention. l4-The vocal and instrumental departments give their win- ter concert. I8-Glenn Morris presents a scientific assembly. I8-Wrestling team encounters first win of the season- 25-22. i9-Redmen coast to another win. This time they beat Whitmer on the home court-63-27. 20-Redmen suffer first defeat against the Findlay Troians, 54-64. ' 22-The Journal came out with the new look . 22-The wrestling team is downed again, this time by Toledo Central Catholic-lO-37. 23-The choir presents an assembly. 23-School gets out for the Christmas vacation. 26-27-Bryan Carnival for basketball players. 26--Redmen beat Defiance at the carnival-53-52. 27-Bryan is toppled by Redmen--5l-48. 29-The Snowball Dance for the student body is sponsored by the iuniors. January 5-School doors open to start another year of school. 84Toledo Clay wins over FHS wrestlers-8-41. 9-The seniors travel to Tiffin to take the scholarship test. 9-Redmen topple Bee Gee-67-51-on the Bobcats' court. 10-Redmen win another one at home. Fremont-36, Fostoria-62. 12-14-Midnight oil burns as students cram for exams. l3-Wrestlers win a match with Waite, 26-19, in the FHS gym. I5-A 23-23 wrestling match is held in the FHS gym with Bowling Green. 16-Redmen chalk up another win on the home court. Clay -52, Redmen-62. l6-Students can have a new start because the first semester ends.
