SCHOOL CALENDAR September 6-Open those pearly gates, we're gonna' be pinned in again - school begins that is. l4- And I promise you coke bars on every floor -guess what? Home- room elections. I6-Shelby was scalped in our first game in the stadium-20-l4. l9-Ugh Y-Teens heap big picnic in-um park. 23-Marion held us-l4-7. We kicked, but not hard enough. New faculty faces were introduced in Assembly. 30-We bowed our heads then shouted Hallelujah- cause we finally re- ceived our new Memorial Stadium. Too bad the Little Giants were bigger than expected. 28-7. October 4-National Honor Assembly. They looked lovely in those burlap sacks, so did the scurves of Hi-Y. 7-Aghes to ashes, Fostoria to dust, Ashland won, we almost cussed. l -l4. l3-Student Council Assembly. l4-The Columbians were plowed so far under when the Redmen left, they didn't see the score. 33-O. 27-lt wasn't the rain that made us slip thru Defiance's line and win. l3-O. 28-Ohio Teachers' Association. Three little words which mean -- NO SCHOOL! November 3-Nilkanth Chavre,-interesting assembly speaker from lndia. 4-Ah yes, the perpetual rain of the Bowling Green vs. Fostoria game, must be lucky for us. 26-6. 8--Bet our seats were a little tight for our parents, but they came anyway. 9-Assembly-Paul Burk-cartoonist who proved the hand is faster than the eye. ll-Findlay Game-and what an original band skit at the half! l Findlay 28, Fostoria O. l8-All-School play- The Man Who Came to Dinner . We came too, but were laughing too hard to think of eating. 24-25-We were thankful, thankful it was vacation! 30-Hair Raisers in the form of yellow grade cards, came out. December 2-Sandusky 3l-Fostoria 29. After all it was the first basketball game. 6-Macomber, There-M 6l, F 3O. As the girls will remember, it was an all boys' school. 9-Columbus West game, there. C.W. 37, F. 5l. The game that saved our lost week end. lO-Mansfield game was part of the lost, lost week end. M 57, F 36. l3-Toledo Waite-No comment. T.W. 49, F. 38. l4-The actors in the Annual Assembly turned a little pail-lgalvanizedl. l6--That pep meeting pepped us over Fremont 30 to 28. 20-We made the B. Gee'rs, look like Bin Goof's. l3.G. 32, F. 45. 23-Senior Dance-Deck the halls with boughs of holly-tra la. January 3-lt's a wonder we got thru the doors after that Xmas Food! 6-Guess we had to give that game to Marion. 33 to 5l. l3-Tiffin must have been taking vitamin pills-T. 50, F, 43. l9-Omicron Lambda's One Act Play Contest. What a U. S. Revolt. 20-One point is nothing to brag about, but it was a gain for Findlay. What a heart breaker that overtime was! 44-43. 27-And again the Redmen brought their tomahawk in sudden death over Fremont. 65-67.

February 3-We stepped on the Bob Cat's tail again. B. G. 45, F.H.S. 55. 4-Horned-rimmed glass, puzzled look. Sr. scholarship test. 8-Wrestling assembly. Get off my back! ! IO-Fostoria made Marion look twice when they beat them in their new field house. 60-57. I I-Lima Central shouldn't have changed the ref's mind. L.C. 59, F. 57. I6- Girl Shy --Junior Class play. Cute as they come. I7-Tiffin 50, Fostoria 33. 22-George Washington was a greater man by giving us this holiday. 23-Trampoline assembly-- He flies thru the air-. 24-Findlay-Nuff said-Findlay 48, Fostoria 3I. March I-One down, two to go in the tournament. Liberty Center 39, FHS 59. 4-Montpelier wondered wha' happened? M. 4I -FHS 54. 4+We won the Regional! And what a trophy! I Napoleon 39-Redmen 52. 8-Boys' Talent Show. Ein Swine, Ein .... I I-We play Mansfield in the Field House at Toledo for the District Finals. I5-And then there was the Girls' Talent Show! I7-gwas a mighty fine dance, when the Y-Teens gave the St. Pat's rance. 23-24-A fine job on Victor Herbert's Red MiIl by the choir. 30--Assembly with F. Rank- The one man stage show. April I-Annual District music solo and ensemble contest in Elyria. 3-5-Hi-Y Y-Teens Easter services. 5-Hi-Y Y-Teens Easter Assembly. 6-I0+Spring came-we left. I2-Student council showed movie Pompei . Free, too! I5-To the metropolis of Bascom for the district music llarge group! contest. 20-George Campbell for assembly. Great music from these walls. 22-State instrumental solo and ensemble at Capital University, Columbus. 26-F. R. O. Banquet. May 5-We certainly looked forward to the Sweetheart dance. I2-The last play, but not the least, The Senior Class play. Last Journal. I3-State vocal finals. Buckeye League track meet. I9-It's a wonder the stage was still standing after the Sr. Assembly. ZI-Baccalaureate. 22-juniors give the Prom for Seniors. 26-Commencement-We leave, but not the memory. Z7-The gates close with a bang ending another year at FHS. Wlll OF 1950 Another year has passed and another class has finished their long trek through the halls of learning, prepared for their journey into the future. As they depart from F. H. S., they leave their most cherished possessions and memories to their successors. We, the class of '50, being of sound mind and our own free will do be- queath the following properties and assets to the following persons: I, BONNIE ATHA, will my ability to skip classes to Gloria Horner. I, DOROTHY BAKER, will my senior home room seat to my sister Ethel, and my ability to remember to Mary Riser. I, DORIS BARNETT, will to Janet Charles my mischievousness. I, DAVID BASEHORE, leave my ability in band to Kenny Parsell. I, JOYCE BEACH, will to any lucky junior girl my diamond.
