TCRCI-l CLUB Torch Club members have two outstanding achievements to their credit. They have ob- tained the goal of grades plus activities. The honor club of Foster. Membership is based on high grade average, and its pur- pose is to promote scholarship. DEBATE CLUB Examining and expounding the many- sided complexities ot Fair Employment Practices laws was this year's debate team, most ably coached by Mrs. Na- dine Love. Pins were awarded those who partici- pated in three-iiiths of the debatesg guards, to second-year students. Debaters participated in both the King County and Puget Sound Leagues. On February 20, Poster tied for sixth place in the P.S.L. tournament, one place re- moved from going to the State tourna- ment. The purpose ot this Spastic Aid group is to create an interest in and understanding for those who have cerebral palsy. Spades are a city wide organization. Mr. and Mrs. B. O. Miller sponsored Eoster's Spade group and Mrs. Mabel Provo was iaculty adviser.
