Always on hand to help this hard-working group were Mrs. losephine Waldo, adviser, and Brunhilde Regel, editor. Mrs. Waldo, Sieglinde Hegel, Lois Kristrom, assistant editorg Marysue Bruce, Sally Fegan and Lorena Scharer attended the 1953 Annual Workshop held Saturday, September 26, at the University of Washington. The purpose of the workshop is to give editors and staff members many useful ideas for planning their yearbook. A friendly, lively book with a timely theme, was the general comment made by the National Scholastic Press Association on last year's book. lt was awarded first class honors. Thanks go to Mr. Bussell Graves of the North Pacific Bank Note Company for the help he has so freely given in the produc- tion of this yearbook. As years go by the Klahowyah, which means Hello, friend, will mean more and more to those reminiscing of the good old days at Foster. Published under the direction of Miss Grace Gylling and editor, Mary Ann Gavin, the paper was never absent when Thursday rolled around. The Growler sent delegates to the annual P. S. S. P. Conference held at the University of Washington. Delegates from eight western states attended this conference held February l9 and 20.
