TIIE AIZIZOW Cleta Potter President Anna Mae Findley Doris French Betty Briscoe Betty A1111 C011 Juanita Sperm Margie White Since the constitution of the Girls' Athletic Council was first submitted for approval to Miss Kathleen Owen, director of Physical Education for girls, and school officials, this organization has grown in strength with amazing rapidity. The membership includes girls who have earned a letter at Foster high school, who have a C average, and who are in good standing. The Council exists for the prim ry purpose of encouraging girls to have a healthy respect for physical fitness. The many intramural tournaments the girls sponsor each year arouse much interest among the students and afford opportunities for social adjustments. The knowledge of skills they gain from dual competitive sports have a definite carry-over value for the proper use of leisure time. This organization practices courtesy, friendliness, and consideration for others. They have pleasant associations, and they learn the importance of a keen sense of fair play. Tribute should be given to the seven charter manbers: Kathryn Owens, Georgia Marsh, Margaret Marsh, Doris French, Virginia Owens, Betty Briscoe, and Cleta Potter.
