I-luster of the Class 0 4Q Durung theur four years of hugh school thus graduatung class wuth fufty seven members has accomplushed much un knowledge sports and musuc As freshmen the number of students un thus class was at uts hughest wuth eughty three enrolled As sophomores the opportunuty for these students to partucupate un the school actuvutues was wuder That year fuve of the boys were on the A squad un basketball and eught went out for football Two of the gurls became cheerleaders that year On November l4 l947 durung theur uunuor year thurteen of these students proudly bowed at curtaun call after presentung theur class play entutled Bolts and Nuts a comedy After much preparatuon the uunuors welcomed the class of 48 at theur banquet and prom guven on May IS, l948 The school paper the Greyhound was put out once every sux weeks durung theur senuor year by a selected staff Theur gradual enrollment un the band totaled seventeen by the end of theur funal term About one thurd of the senuor hugh chorus was made up of theur class The Talusman staff was busy throughout the year un preparung the funal copy Thurteen creduts were needed for any senuor to receuve hus duploma on June 3 when they left Fosston Hugh School Among our souvenurs un memory Yes we are leavung wuth half regret Those that shall always treasured be Our Alma Mater but not to forget Are of the school old Fosston Hugh Our prausung memorable loyal song Whuch we shall soon bud good bye That wull remaun as tume goes on One can thunk back on by gone days Thus to be sure no one can erase But to reluve wuth fruends each day and act Nothunq save mem ry can ever brung back Ruth Haugen Page 77 ' f 2 , - I .
