THE I939-40 SCHOOL YEAR BROUGHT WITH IT IMPROVEMENT IN CLASS ORGANIZATION A N D A STRONG CONFIDENCE IN STUDENT LEADERSHIP. ALL STUDENTS FROM FRESHMEN TO SENIORS WORKED FAITH- FULLY AND HARMONIOUSLY IN ROUNDING OUT A SUC- CESSFUL SCHOOL YEAR. IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO PROMOTE A FULLER PRO- GRAM, THIS YEAR'S GRADUATING CLASS ELECTED ITS OFFICERS EARLIER THAN ANY OTHER CLASS IN THE RECENT HISTORY OF FOSDICK - MASTEN. ENTERTAIN- MENTS, DANCES AND PARTIES FIGURED AMONG THE LIGHTER FORMS OF ACTIVITY. THE SENIOR PROM WAS THE SOCIAL EVENT OF THE YEAR. EVERY GROUP JOINED IN MAKING THIS AFFAIR IN HONOR OF THE GRADUATES ONE OF THE FONDEST MEMORIES THAT THEY WILL TAKE WITH THEM FROM THESE WALLS. THE SENIORS ARE LEAVING MASTEN WITH RECOL- LECTIONS GAY AND SAD OF THE FOUR YEARS PAST. WITH GRADUATION A CHAPTER IS CLOSED. TIME IS ON THE MARCH AS JUNIOR, SOPHOMORE, AND FRESHMAN CLASSES ADVANCE ONE STEP NEARER THEIR GOAL.
