AS THIS SCHOOL YEAR DRAWS TO A CLOSE, BOTH STUDENTS AND FACULTY OF FOSDICK-MASTEN PARK HIGH SCHOOL ARE SADDENED, INDEED, BY THE RESIG- NATION OF THEIR BELOVED FRIEND AND PRINCIPAL, C. BROOKS HERSEY. DURING HIS THIRTY-SEVEN YEARS OF SERVICE AT FOSDICK-MASTEN AS TEACHER, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL, AND PRINCIPAL, MR. HERSEY HAS FIRMLY IMPLANTED HIMSELF AND HIS NOBLE IDEALS DEEP IN THE HEARTS OF MASTENITES. QUIET, UNASSUMING THOUGHTFULNESS, VAST GOOD HUMOR, HEARTY GOOD FELLOWSHIP, RE- TIRING MODESTY: ALL HAVE BEEN A PART OF THAT CAPABLE LEADER WHO HAS SO SUCCESSFULLY GUIDED MASTEN TO PROMINENT HEIGHTS. MR. HERSEY IS RETIRING MIDST THE CHEERS AND BEST WISHES OF THOSE WHOM HE HAS SERVED WITH UNSELFISHNESS AND DEVOTION. TO YOU, MR. HERSEY, FOSDICK-MASTEN WISHES A RESTFUL, JOYOUS RETIREMENT.
