Miss Ida Messinger, Miss Melba Thomas THE SECRETARIES Not only does the theme of this yearbook apply to student activity, but it also is manifested in the work of those who perform non- teaching duties. With their hands Miss Messinger and Miss Thomas type, receive bids, accept requisi- tions, draw up pay rolls, post no- tices, operate the switchboard, make available data necessary for school board action, and in an uncata- logued list of services administer to the needs of all who enter the office, their workshop. For their literal fulfillment of our theme during our six years here, we of the Class of 1957 express sincere gratitude. NGN -TEACHING PERSONNEL CUSTODIANS With their hands Doc, Bill, and Miles have made our life pleasant and comfortable during three years in junior high and three years in senior high. It is highly fitting that we give recognition to the things which we have taken for granted. Hands- their hands-fired the boilers while we were still asleep, cleaned the halls and stairs, shined the brass, replaced light bulbs and worn out pencil sharpeners, made possible the recovery of lost articles, cleared away the fallen snow, and gave willing assistance at games, plays, and rec center. Thank you for such outstanding upkeep of our school plant and the oft-unacknowledged service to pupils. Mr. William Beach, Mr. Miles Lamoreaux ,Wa Mr. Edmund Kent

UPHOLDERS OF OUR H DS All the school experiences which have and will have direct or indirect ties with the work of our hands have in a very true sense been made possible by our Board of Education. To these duly elected representative of our borough, we owe a capable administration and faculty, a painstaking corps of custodians, a comfortable building, books, supplies. athletic and recreational facilities. These self-effacing citizens have been generous in their contribution of time and talent in regularly scheduled and special meetings. For all this we, the Class of 1957, extend our hands in true token of appreciation and gratitude.
