Q31 99 P9 fe Dear Miss Bower, Having earned a vacation f om the Los Angeles Hosoltal where I have been worklng slnce graduation from Indiana Unlv rsity, I declded to ViS1t my high school graduatlng classmates I left Los Angles 1n my jet plane, stopolng first 1n Arizona to VlSlt Ted Rushton,cwner ofa large ranch Ted decided to go wlth me on the journey After we landed at the Fortville We declded to go to Wyomlng where Ranger He is in charge of 60,000 sequently he was too busy to accompany Indlana Jack Orr 1S a forest acres of trmber, con us, so we advanced to Alrport late the same evenlng, we stopped at a large restaurant on the edge of town Imagine our surprl e to flnd that thls fine enormous quite a while, f1nd1ng that this was the head office of his Chaln of restaurants Beverly Wood was hlsgrlvate secretary, taklng care of the great amount of Eddie's business Eddie sald lt was largely due to Beverly's good work that he had enpanded so rapldly Drlving around the next day in Eddie's convertable, we visited Georgina Beyers on her farm southwest of Fortvllle ClTCllUg farther west,we arrived at the large farm of Turman Rushton Ted visited for qulte sometime with his brother As we came back to Fortville, we stopped at Clara Bolander's who still lives in town We next visited our almamater, where Bob Lummis is now principal The school has grown to an enrollment of lO0O students We decided to go up to Chicago to see Bob Adams who succeeded the Mayo Brothers and has moved the clinic here Arriving at the Fortville Airport we met Jimmie Johnson who runs the airport He showed us some of the new planes in the hangals Bradford Shull designed.themand many more that are in all parts of North and South America Jimmie said he would tale us in a rocket plane to see Bob When we reached Chlcago we discovered that Bob has the best clinic bulldlngs in he world, and they should be, because his brother, Dlck, engineered them Bob has three class mates as head nurses Joan Willis is head nurse of the children's ward, Marjorie Sylvester is superintendent of nurses, and Gay Bee Goudy is Chlef of the emergency ward Gay Bee plays the trumpet on the side She plays when Harry James is a As we way We went next to the University Royal, largest and new est university in the world Juene Hunt is an instructor there and is writing and she is writing a novel she is gainlng fame from the books of poetry she Sue Cummlns is Dean of Girls at the university, were preparing to leave the university, we saw a golden streak coming. We discovered that it was Clarence Humbles in his yellow Pontiac rocket car. He said he had been out checking on his rocket space ship.
