As a whole the team placed fourth at S.P.C. and second at both T.l.S.C. and the Bishop Lynch Invitational. The team placed first at the state meet crowning themselves the new state champions among the Texas Association of Private Schools. At the an- nual F.XV.C.D. Invitational, the team took second place with Billy Nowlin winning the meet and setting a new course record of 16:25 for three miles. The girls team was not as successful as Coach Conlin had anticipated because of injuries and a lack of participation, However, Lisa Grant took first place at the T.l.S.C. meet. Lack of runners prevented the girls from qualifying for several meets which prevented an outstanding season. Despite a disappointing season, the girls eagerly supported the boys. The parents supported both teams by providing both transportation and parties for them. Erlc Gardner passes another runner at the TCU Meet.
