och Jackie Rea gives instructions to the Middle School Volleyball Team. lg Volleyball Goes Undefeated With the help of team captains, Cathy- Bernell and Kay Chambers, the Upper School volleyball team won the T.l.S.C. Championship. The team placed second in the S.P.C. and T.A,P.S. The team featured outstanding spikers such as Susan Siegmond, Cathy Bernell, Kelly Roadhouse and Ginger Durham. The setters for these spikers were Ashley Roadhouse, Kay Chambers, and Julie Bernell. Susie Chambers who was asked to play and know every position also contributed to the success of the team. The team completed the year with twenty-seven wins and four losses. Cathy Bernell was voted the Most Valuble Player of T.A.P.S. Kay Chambers' leadership in the setter's position proved to be of great help to a very young team. ln three years under Head Coach Butch Traeder, the program has a record of eighty-three wins and fourteen losses. The Middle School volleyball A team had an outstanding season record of 16-O and were Greenhill lnvltatianal Champions. The team members not only believed in themselves, but each other as well. In Coach Jackie Rea's opinion, this combination, along with consistent effort, produced a winning season. Team leaders included Captain Libby Durham, Jill Fraley, Victoria Hall, number one scorer - Ann Marie Siddons, Christina Conway, and Teresa Fischer. The B team did not win every game, however, they had a good season. Their spirit and much improved skills should keep the Middle School team on top next year as well. Cathy Bernell gives lt her all.
