CDS Falcons, State Champs Under the leadership of Coach Sal Anicito, the Upper School football team had one of its most successful seasons ever - with a record of 11-1 and two con- ference championships, For the first time ever, the Country Day football team went to the State playoffs and won the State Championship with a 33-7 victory over Abilene Christian. The team also won the Southwest Prep. Conference Championship. Among the top players in the Metroplex were: quarterback Mark Vincent with 28 passes, Jim Harycki with the most touchdown catches - nine for the season, and Steve Nolan who was among the top five point scorers with a total of eighteen touchdowns.
