Dick serves as Se-cretaryfTreasurer of ACSP and editor ofthe quar- terly newsletter. - I T' 'i 2 ' 'P' Christian Service Directors for many years learned the hard way-by themselves. Now thanks to the encouragement of AABC and the vision ofjoy Gerig and others there is a professional organization called the Associ- ation of Christian Service Personnel CACSPX which meets every two years to share and encourage one another in promoting quality Christian service programs. The organization now is in its Hfth year, hav- ing met three times. and has a membership of 74, representing 51 colleges. The membership is drawn from the Christian service personnel of schools accredited by AABC Cfull mem- bershipl and from C.S. personnel of other schools of higher education Cassociate mem- bershipl. FWBC is pleased that this important organi- zation originated at Fort Wayne Bible Col- lege. The Ad Hoc Committee met here in 1980 and the first ACSP conference in 1981, during which the constitution was signed in Witmer Hall. This was especially fitting be- cause Dr. Safara Witmer, in honor of whom the building was named, was the founder of AABC itself. During the third conference, held last fall, Miss Gerig was named President of ACSP. ii 'u L A

HIS Company. the Christian Service drama troupe un- der the direction of Miss Sonja Strahm, presented a new play the second semester entitled In Spite Of, The plot, with its theme coming from the book of james, focuses on the tragedy that can occur when the tongue is not controlled by Gods spirit. Also in their repertoire is a series of vocal solos and dramalogues entitled Master Meeting.
