Also the rosfer of men increased from 44 fo 25, rhree of whom were recognized in the naflonal sfafisfical polls. Jim Hughes, sophomore cenfer halfback and feam captain, was ranked if 4 in NCCAA for assisfs. Appoinfmenl' fo the NCCAA All Disfricf Team wenf To Pay Hylron, lhe leam 's leading scorer, and fo .lm Hughes. While we are proud of fhese nafional honors, fhe mosf signiHcanl' sfarisfic, nof kepf in any of our scorebooks, is fhe affifude wifh which fhese men compefed. ln my six years of coaching, I have nof coached a ream of which I am more proud because of lheir cooperalion and Chrisflike affifudes while playing. Each one of These men is a real genfleman whom l respecf deeply. The feam will lose lhree members due lo graduafion: halfback Craig Vincenf, who was fhe feam 's fhird leading scorer, fullback and former defensive player of fhe year 498 4, Hal Lehmany and halfback Brenf Casper, who transferred in for his senior year from Moody Bible lnslilufe.
