i Graduates in Education A degree in the area of Teacher Education will enable the graduate to teach in Christian, public, and parochial elementary schools. Objec- tives of the department are to assist the student in gaining a general understanding of the basic areas of education, to train efficient leaders and teachers for the church, to form an attitude toward teaching as a Christian vocation, to gain'basic skills in teaching, to qualify the stu- dent for state certification, and to provide basic preparation for gradu- ate study in education.
