DIVISIO CF ARTS AND CIENCES r S HTG x X -S up -Q74 The curricula in this division are designed to contribute to the general education of all students and to the professional preparation of students in the fields of Music, Social Science, and Teacher Education. The objectives of this section include: Qlj providing a core of educative experiences commonly conceived as general education in keeping with the general objectives of the college with Christian connotation, Q25 providing professional pro- grams in the field of church music, social science, and speech, C35 providing programs in teacher education in fields of mu- sic, education, and speech, HJ providing a program of health and physical education for all students, Q55 acquainting each student with and deepening his appreciation for his cul- tural heritage through a general study of natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities, and f6j contributing to the development of Christian personality in the students awaken in him a clear sense of mission and dedication of himself to Jesus Christ in the service of mankind.

Two degrees are offered in this Held: Bachelor of Arts with a major in Pastoral Training, and Bachelor of Theology. Included in the objectives of this department are: Clj assisting the student in acquiring the personal qualiiications for the pastoral ofliceg Q25 helping the student obtain a knowledge of the Word of God adequate for his calling 5 f3j instructing in principles and methods for an effective pastoral ministryg and UID developing skills enabling the student to administer the teaching, training, worship, service, and business activities of the church. Here are made available courses from all phases of the college Christian Ministries department. Professor Klopfen- stein teaches through correspondence those students who are not able to live on campus or who have conflicts with other classes. Any one student is able to take up to fourteen hours in correspondence work per semester for credit.
