The aim of Thorfin's Thespians is to pro- mote interest in the field of dramatics and add to the cul- tural enrichment of the school and com- munity. While gain- ing experience in all aspects of the theatre, Thespian members learn to accept criti- cism, disappoint- ments, and promo- tions with humility and obedience. The Cathy Zuccaro examines the torn curtain which the Thes- plans will replace. Calm down, all you have to say is 'purr'! Thorfin's Thespia ns officers: Thespians presented The Diary of Anne Frank on March 7 and 8, and The Spi- ral Staircase , a mur- der mystery on May 2, 3, and 4. The 1973- 74 Thespian officers are: Adrienne Eaton- Pres.g Kathy Waites- Vice-Pres.g Debbie Miles-Sec., Iohn Timmel-Trees., Brian Rossler-Perl., and Ianet Wilson- lnitiate Rep. FHA H05! Silver Sana? Children Improving the quality of the individual, family, and commu- nity life is the goal of the Future Home- makers of America. Through FHA activi- ties, members are learning to expand and identify their own concerns and is- sues about living. The activities of the club include a cocoa sale, hosting the District Convention with 625 girls attending from five counties, a cast party for the children from Silver Sands, making curtains for the lunchroom, hold- ing a window wash, making Easter cards for the elderly, and hosting a Tupper- ware party. In addi- tion, Iulie Barfield ran for State Presi- dent Elect and presented her pro- gram to the elemen- tary schools in the area. 90! FHA FHA members work with children. Mrs. Dodd-faithful FHA sponsor. Iulie Beuerlein is one of the hard-working club members who helped make curtains for the lunchroom.

33 FBLA Slmw Comme Twice monthly meet- ings provided a start- ing point for the many projects under- taken by the Future Business Leaders of America. Typing, re- producing and mail- ing monthly news- letters for the AAUW and typing Bruner Ir. High newspaper were two business-related activities. The mem- bers also wrote Thanksgiving greet- ings to patients in the Culf Convalescent Home, gave a Christ- mas party for chil- dren attending the Fort Walton Beach Day Care Center and sold stationery. Cuest speakers were spon- sored at one meeting each month. Members also at- tended District I ral- lies and conventions, and were able to compete on local, state and national levels with other students. Ms. Bowers, FBLA sponsor, takes time from her busy sched- ule to smile at the birdie. Io Anne Adair. Rhonda Barron, and Elaine Clanton devote time to type up the Bruner Ir. High paper, Loretta Rowell types addresses on monthly AAUW newsletter.
