That's how pupils counted out their favorite exercise-Index Finger Coordination. This energetic group of students was found in the department which offered one of the greatest varieties of courses in the school, Physical Educa- tion. There were offerings which covered team sports such as softball, basketball, and speedball, and other well as archery, gymnastics, and badminton. These and other individual sports provided students with skills that could be enjoyed throughout a lifetime. But even more, PE was fun. Who could forget trying their first back handspring, or fish- ing their ball out of the stream at the golf course? fWhat color are water moccasins any- way?!j. Who would not re- member watching their teacher drive a golf ball into the tractor mowing the prac- tice field? No wonder so many come back for more in the PE Department. I got il, I got it! Where did the ball go?! I thought I told you, hit the birdie over the net not into the beams' Physical Education!59

Nom ofjoy Beethoven, Bach, or the Byrds, which ever you prefer, you may very well be accom- odated through the Music Department. Courses in almost every phase of the music world offer stu- dents the opportunity to pur- sue their interest to the fullest. Some of courses offered in- cluded Music Theory, Girls' A H I Sai, M, Chorus, Band, and Voices of Valhalla. Those pupils who wish to learn to play an in- strument are given private lessons by Mr. Hebson and Mr. Creekmore. If you happen to walk through the commons any time soon, do not he too surprised if you are overwhelmed by the sound of a violin, soprano, pi- ano, drum, or guitar.
