Stu- dents were able to tie in mate- rial they studied in their lan- guage class with other courses they took. The dedicated instructors could transform students who once said, NNO speako el Spanishola flfrenchase, Ger- manishju, or, You really do not expect me to answer this in some foreign language do you?! to experts in the art of speaking the language of an- other eountry. With a wide range of choices, one could undertake a course of interest and progress at an individual rate.
