The ROTC Ladief As a branch of the ROTC program, the Skydettes were a part of ROTC functions, but also maintained-a separate identity as an organization inter- ested in the affairs of its community and school. Along with ROTC ca- dets, members of Skydettes made trips to the Ranger Camp and Radar Installa- tion at Eglin Air Force Base. They also participated in Din- ing Out during Iann- ary, with members Iackie Skaret and Ann Baker stand with Skydette gentleman, Bill Grigsby. A Skydette member prepares for their bake sale. The proceeds went to the Playground Humane Society. entertaining the guests. Later, Sky- dettes attended the annual Military Ball. Traveling to Tus- kegee, Alabama, the club gave a Christ- mas party for patients at the Vet- eran's Hospital. The next month the Sky- dettes helped to orga- nize the Camellia Show held in the school auditorium. Ms. Pat Brogden was sponsor of the active and appreciated group of young Women. Skydettes!105
