Long Columbia River Hudson's Bay XXX Sophomore Jim Hagenson was elected by his teammates as cap tain of the J.V. team. Jim led the team in rebounds with 142, fouls with 45, and free throws with 55. Robin Oury was the leading scorer with 144 points. He also had the most assists with 37 and the most steals with 33. Although the J .V. team didnit have a great season, with the out- standing performances of Jim Hagenson, Robin Oury, and the other members of the team, next year's varisty should be one of the best. Long Columbia River Hudson's Bay Camas Battle Ground Mark Morris Evergreen Kelso R.A. Long Columbia River Hudsonis Bay The 1971-72 Trappers had trouble putting it all to- gether in the same games. Junior forward, Jim Ford, led the offense in the early season games, Kevin Staples pick- ed up the slack at mid-season, while Dave Spicer, Craig Pierce and Dennis Baugh came on strong at the end of the season. Paul Strobmeier played consistantly through- out the season, with strong rebounding and improved shooting. Sophomore, Steve Dils, saw lots of action and added depth at the guard position. Paul Strohmeier was voted honorary captain and Kevin Staples was named the most improved player and inspirational player. Junior center, Craig Pierce, led the team in scoring, rebounding, and shooting accuracy. Staples totaled the most assists and Dave Spicer had the most stolen balls for the season. Rich Cosgrove led the team in free throw HCCUIHCY. Get that ball and GO like FIRE!!! Paul Strohmeier.

Long Hudson's Bay Camas Battleground Mark Morris Evergreen R.A. Long Columbia River Fort's 'SBC Squad basketball team coached by Vern Westrick had a 5-9 season, there were 26 sophomores and juniors that turned out. We started off our season with a victory over Camas. Our most impressive game of the year was a 72-60 Win over Evergreen with three players having a better than average night by scoring in double figures. The most points scored by an individual in one game was 22 by Chuck Kinnunen in the Evergreen contest, Randy Garner also had a good night scoring 18, Paul Harris made the double figures by socring 14. Brian Eis1eben's sbest night of the season was scoring 19 points against R.A. Long in an overtime loss. The B Squad ended its season by defeating Columbia River 42-41 with Tom Overton scoring 12 points in the final quarter.
