Jim Van g f Q Hoose served Tawanka as President, and Mr. Vern Westrick siig l 1 Q was the club's advisor. The first main activity of Tawanka itss 'litii- 2 was a joint masquerade party with Tri-Hi-Y and Hi-Y. , fiiil t ,1 Services to the school included school clean-up, ticket a ' g sales, ushering at all concerts and school functions, a candy 5151 gi sale, and helping the Dads Club with the pancake feed and ' ii T , ' rummage sale. HI-Y is a service club for boys only and is closely united with the YMCA. Led by Mr. Bill Knudsen, advisor, and Rick Gilbert, President, the thirty active members engaged in many pro- jects both worthwhile and enjoyable. For the benefit of others, Hl-Y put on an assembly, held a canned food drive, and sponsored a litter cam- paign. Other activities were a dance, Mother's Day breakfast, candy sale and the Senior banquet. !Z'i,, . Dave Kelso, Dav Disbrovv The main purpose of the Traid Club is to - - create interest in art and to give service to the school. Under the leadership of President Dav Disbrovv. Traid held a poster painting party for the Bay Game and decorated for the White Christmas Ball. Plans for the future include sponsoring the miniature art contest, exhibi- tion of club paintings, and an art sale. I The Trap Council is made up of nine repre- sentatives, three from each class. The members are chosen from applications they must submit to the council. The Trap Council schedules weekly dances and works closely with the Junior Chamber of Commerce.
